Saosin Saint Paul Concert reviews
Dissapointed by Zac Brown Band!!
Saosin is a phenomenal artist and musician, loved by my family. We were eagerly anticipating the concert this year, especially with the release of their fantastic new album Jekyll + Hyde. It was going to be my son's first concert and birthday present, as he is a huge fan of Saosin. However, we were let down by the song selection at the concert. My son, who knows all of their songs by heart, was unfamiliar with the cover songs they played for the majority of the first part of the show. We expected a mix of old and new music from Saosin, not covers of other artists' songs. While their performance was amazing, we came to listen to Saosin's music, not covers. Saosin has a vast catalog of top hits from their four albums, in addition to their new music, that they should have performed. They also took a half-hour intermission just an hour into the show, which seemed unnecessary. Furthermore, there was a 30-40 minute instrumental jam session with no vocals, which we felt was excessive. The band also had 5-minute breaks between some songs, unlike other concerts where artists play continuously until the end. This was my fourth time seeing Saosin, and while we have enjoyed their music in the past, we were disappointed this time. We have given feedback on their social media platforms, only to receive negative responses. Overall, the band sounded great, but we wished they had played more of their own music.
